When you write, you may need to name a book or story that you have read.  When you write titles, there are certain rules to follow.  STUDY THESE RULES.

          1. All important words in a title should be capitalized.

          2. Underline titles of books, magazines, and newspapers.

          3. Use quotation marks to punctuate titles of articles, stories, songs, and poems.

Examples:
    Book: Little House on the Prairie
  Magazine: Ranger Rick
  Newspaper: My Weekly Reader

    Article: "All about Ants"
    Story: "The Fun They Had"
    Song: "America, the Beautiful"
    Poem: "Rain in the City"

DIRECTIONS: Tell which word in each book title should be capitalized. Use the active board to correct.

**Capitalize the first, last , and all important words in a title.The titles are underlined.
